I got my copy of Nobrow 7: Brave New World and it looks pretty damn good! The top-notch team over at Nobrow really know what they're doing with this stuff, and as always, I am thrilled and honored to work with them. This collection is half comics and half illustrations where the contributors work with the theme of "A Brave New World" and whatever that might mean to them. The whole book is printed in 5 process colors, including on metallic-ish ink. There are tons of amazing creators in the book, you should go buy a copy.

My 4 page story is called New Worlds and features characters that I used in the story Crier. I was struggling through a pretty bad case of writer's block when I revisited an old sketchbook page where I came up with these characters. Almost immediately I felt a weight lifted as I started playing with different ideas for these kids and that's where this story came from.

The girl's pose in this panel is an homage to the great Jaime Hernandez. The black and white image comes from Bay of Threes, the girl is a young Penny Century meeting H.R. Costigan for the first time.
